The more mature age bracket embraced the power and styling of the American muscle autos. The time America once was the most prosperous nation, American cars took over the automobile industry. This has been before more fuel-efficient compact foreign cars began to dominate the automobile market.

It was back during fifties and sixties, when American automobiles had steel chassis that would hold together, and take years of abuse. In those days, the big, heavy and solid vehicles seemed to offer a lot of protection compared to the compact, lightweight cars of today. They may be collector’s items, but you can still notice some of them on the road today, bringing back memories of a bored out V8 engine under the hood.
